a good friend of mine just had her 4th little blessing...
one beautiful dark haired boy.....
he was the perfect little subject and basically slept the whole time....
barely made a peep....
hopefully, he continues to behave this way for his parents!
i can tell everyone is smitten with this sweet baby boy....
what a beautiful family....

last week we had our annual trip up the north shore with some wonderful friends....
it is always such a fun time....
lots of fun was had swimming, hiking at Gooseberry Falls, picnicking, campfires & S'mores, BBQs, and enjoying the lake....
throwing rocks into the lake.... climbing upon the big rocks....
just taking in the breathtaking views of the beautiful blue abyss.....
my love for the lake has deep roots and i will never tire of its beauty....
i love that we can share it with our boys....
we also survived a crazy storm that downed a tree and some branches next to our cottage....
the boys made quick work of those though!
Duluth had the brunt of it.... no power for days....
we were fortunate and were only without power for 5 hours but..... no pool for one day....
which the boys did not find so great... thank goodness for a big lake right in front of us!
it made our trip that much more exciting.... :)
we also made one last pit stop on our way home....our college....
where it all began... ;)
we outfitted them in saints gear and the boys thought they were pretty cool....
overall, a great week with friends!!
thanks so much, friends, for such a wonderful week.....we all enjoyed the good company, food, and good times!
we are already looking forward to next time!

a couple of weekends ago we made a little visit to grandma and grandpa's house....
we had a very nice time...
the boys certainly keep grandma and grandpa on their toes!
i didn't have my camera out too much but managed to snap a few of their epic water fight (they drenched grandpa) and a few others.....

it is hard to believe how quickly time flies by.....
i feel like i just photographed these newborn boys....
and just like that....they are 6 months old....

our 4th of july week at the lake....
sitting on the dock.....
peering into the clear waters below to spot minnows....
playing with minnows.... (gus had an obsession with the minnows....)
sparklers....
paddle boating.... lots of it....
fishing from the dock and paddle boat....
boat rides....
spending time with friends....
ice cream and candy from granny's pantry in town....
campfire and s'mores....
swimming....
fishing with friends off the paddle boat for 2 hours and catching 21 fish....
easy, breezy living....
where life is simpler....
just soaking up the sunshine....
not a care in the world....
loving the lake life...
time always goes much too fast at the lake....
