captiva: part two
a walk in the wildlife refuge....
more beach and pool time....
lunch at the marina....
one last captiva sunset....
all in all a lovely 4 days away....
it was actually the most relaxing vacation we have been on with 3 boys..... (if that is possible!)
the boys had so much fun collecting shells, digging in the sand, building sandcastles, dodging the ocean waves, splashing in the pool, building up the courage to go down the water slides (and then going down over, and over, and over again....), making new friends at the pool and joining them for soccer matches on the beach, seeing lots of wildlife (birds, alligator, turtles, fish, and dolphins), and making wishes on shells and throwing them into the ocean at sunset.....

captiva: part one
during the winter, at some point, we get the itch to take a little break from the snow and cold....
we were fortunate enough to find a good deal (a bit sooner than i anticipated going) so we decided to take the chance (and i'm a planner so booking 10 days before going was pretty spontaneous for me!)....
the boys still talk about our past trips.....
to me, these experiences are priceless if they are memories they continue to talk about and relive....
i am thankful and grateful....
we had 4 lovely days in beautiful captiva, florida....
somewhere we have never been...
but will return....
there was a lot of beach and pool time.....
shelling and more beach time....
and sunsets...
amazingly, beautiful sunsets....

a new year.....
a new project.....
i am super excited to start this new project with my photography friends....
i take oodles (and oodles) of photos of the kiddos....
but, i'd like my boys to one day see that i was there too....
so, once a month, i will try to get in the frame with them.....
whether i want to or not.... :)

bubble bath
i haven't been picking up my camera much lately....
definitely need to change that....!
but, one evening gus dumped a bunch of soap in the bath tub.....
(leave it to gus....)
and the jets got turned on without knowing the amount of soap already in the tub....
which resulted in a crazy bubble bath.....
the boys had a blast.....
of course, i had to take a few pictures.... :)
christmas time
just wanted to share photos of what i managed to capture this holiday season....
it is my favorite time of year....
a time full of traditions, memories, and joy....
it always seems to pass by much too quickly....
we had a very nice christmas--- lots of good company...
we are thankful and blessed beyond measure.....
