a christmas photo shoot with my dear sister....
whom i don't get to see very often....
one who is beautiful inside and out...
a friend had suggested to her that she should get photos taken of herself today to preserve a piece of her youth....
something to look back on when she is a bit older....
seeing that i aim to capture memories...
to document life...
i wholeheartedly agree...
so, we had a little fun on christmas day....

last week, i had the honor in capturing not one precious newborn baby but two....
it isn't often that i get the chance to capture double the sweetness....
such a lovely family....
two baby boys...just over two weeks old....
they were so sweet....barely made a peep....
just wanted to share a sneak peek for their parents who are waiting ever so patiently...

last week i had the honor of spending a little time with this sweet family...
the last time i saw them their adorable baby boy was a brand new baby...
well, it is safe to say they are still as sweet as can be....

taking our family pics is always an adventure with 3 boys...
actually, trying to take a picture of them any time of the year is an adventure....
i think they are sick of me pointing the camera at them... :)
this year we went down to our favorite spot by the river...
the boys always have a blast...
exploring, running in the sand, throwing rocks in the water.....
and none of them got wet!
it was a lovely eve....

time for another edition of living a life....
these photos aren't really all that exciting....
but, i figured it was time i get some pics up of our little get away to sedona....
one amazing place....
it was fun this time around as each year we go it becomes a little more familiar....
it gives us a chance to slow down more and not feel like we have to see and do everything in fear of missing out on something....
most of our time was spent hiking, mountain biking (which is only fun going down-ha!), relaxing, and eating yummy food....
we even climbed our way up to the top of cathedral rock--quite a view!
alas, i did not take my camera out to capture every moment of our time there....
it was nice to just soak it all in.....
some things are just better as memories than in a photo....

another halloween in the books...
and as owen said this morning...only 364 days until halloween again.... goofball.
we had a fun day....
grandma and grandpa joined us for some pumpkin carving and trick or treating....
the boys were excited all day..... even without any sugar in their system....
you would have thought max had already had a pound of sugar the way he was fired up....
it was pretty fun watching gus sort of get the concept of halloween this year...
he always trailed a little behind the big boys but made his way door to door in his own sweet time....
every time he left a house he'd say, "oh, more candy!"
and he insisted on always carrying a piece of candy in one hand and a brown paper bag (instead of his plastic pumpkin) in the other.....
all in all, a successful halloween....
so nice to spend it with my parents...
and the boys now have candy to last them until christmas and beyond....
and i've already been asked a million times if they can have candy...and that was before breakfast...
