this past week our family went up the north shore of lake superior to a lovely little retreat to spend a few days with dear friends of ours and their kiddos...
we had a delightful time...more on that later....
of course, on our way up the north shore we made a stop in my hometown (also where the hubby and i met...) right on the shores of lake superior....
spending time in my hometown always makes me miss it a bit.....but, i really don't miss the cruel winters....
made my heart happy to share, with the boys, places from my childhood that will always be near and dear to my heart...
they had a grand old time....
a little trip to the malt shop, a stroll in the rose garden, a walk down to the lake to throw rocks (something our boys could literally do for hours....), dinner at one tasty place, and finally settling in to our little cabin in the woods....
of course i snapped a few photos... :)
