i had the honor in photographing a high school friend's wedding...
she has been waiting ever so patiently for the photos....

just wanted to post the rest of our little family trip up north to the boundary waters....
lots more fun was had....
plenty of water fun....
owen decided he loved paddle boarding (even though he still hasn't quite built up the courage to stand)...
my wonderful mom threw a birthday party for max.....complete with games and everything...
max was so excited we spent all day celebrating him....
all in all....another successful trip up north....
thanks family for making max feel so special...
and thanks to all for another great camping adventure...

i love seeing how the boys grow and change over the years....
such a sweet, sweet family....
i had so much fun following them around....
just watching the boys have the time of their lives throwing rocks, exploring and splashing....

A couple of weeks ago we made our way up to the Boundary Waters for our annual camping trip with my family. The boys looks forward to it every single year. Although the idea of it is always a bit daunting for me--it is so worth it. The boys are truly in their element. It is a peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing place away from it all. Felt so good to go unplugged. I am so happy we started this tradition when Owen was little. I have been going to this same place since I was 8 weeks old and there is just something special about sharing this place with my hubby and boys. It is a little slice of heaven on earth....
These are just some of the photos I took.... we did some paddle boarding (my sister and owen even gave it a whirl!) , a sunset swim with my hubby and sister, early morning walks, fishing, and lots of exploring...

time just needs to slow down....
this summer really flew by....
and now here we are....
we have a third grader....
i have mixed emotions about school starting already....
love the carefree days of summer....
love having all 3 boys at home together....
but, owen missed his friends...
and sometimes a little routine is not such a bad thing...
owen was so excited for school to start....
he woke up earlier than his norm....
i think he had a few of those first day jitters....
but, he was ready to see his friends and get back to the grind....
his favorite part of the day was extra recess, of course!....
and he has gym tomorrow so he's having a great week already.... ; )
